Project Brief:
The complete strip out of all the existing mechanical services, and then the design and installation of all the mechanical services for the entire five floor building. The design requirement was to attain a BREEMA status of ‘Excellent’.
Project Description:
The building required air conditioning to all office areas and hence a 4 pipe fan coil system was installed with new chiller and boiler plant positioned on the roof. All areas were also supplied with tempered fresh air from an air handling unit. The extracted air also returned to the air handling unit heat recovery exchanger.
New toilet areas were also installed at each level and toilet supply and extract ventilation systems were provided. All the new plant was controlled by a newly installed BMS (Building Management system).
